Knowing your rights is the first step to defending yourself from housing discrimination. Join us to learn more about fair housing rights and responsibilities. This in-person workshop will cover the protected classes under federal, state, and local (Cook County and specific towns) fair housing laws. We will also discuss reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities, dealing with tenants who require service animals, who is liable under the Fair Housing Act, and how fair housing laws are enforced. The goal is to empower community members to recognize violations and take action.
